Our expertly trained mushrooms harvesters’ sort, and find the best quality mushrooms in our scenic forest region of Porolissum, Romania. We only harvest the finest mushrooms in a forest area that is organic certified by Ecocert, (www.Ecocert.com). Our mushrooms grow, in their natural splendor, where they have been harvested since before the times of the Romans who introduced the custom of wild mushroom harvesting and cuisine in Romania.

Chanterelle mushrooms, (Cantharellus Cibarius And Cantharellus minor) richer in aroma to their North American counterparts, but smaller in size.
Chanterelle mushroom  is orange or yellow, meaty and funnel-shaped. On the lower surface, underneath the smooth cap, it has gill-like ridges that run almost all the way down its stipe, which tapers down seamlessly from the cap. It emits a fruity aroma, reminiscent of apricots and a mildly peppery taste (hence its German name, Pfifferling) and is considered an excellent edible mushroom.

Romanian Chanterelle/galbiori, worldwide known as Chanterelle is a popular mushroom variety for up-class restaurants and widely known to chefs around the world for their delicious and unique taste.

We produce 2 qualities of Chanterelle. Our first quality Chanterelle are the smaller or younger mushrooms, The second quality Chanterelle are medium and large in size.

Our drying process involves quickly cleaning soil residues from the mushrooms within a few hours. Secondly, we then slice them into mushroom shapes of appropriate size for processing. After slicing the mushrooms, they are put into trays and inserted into our specialized dehydration equipment where they are dehydrated at low temperature to preserve the flavor, consistency, nutritional value and color. Throughout the entire process we do not add any preservatives, chemicals or additional ingredients. You will get mushrooms as nature intended them to grow and be consumed.

Consumption suggestions

Before cooking, keep in water for 15 min for rehydration. Store in a cool and dry place, away from direct light. Shelf Life is one year from date of production.
